Leaving Panama City
On the way we saw many interesting cloud configurations.
More clouds
Clouds and sunset
This is the only ship we saw out on the ocean, a container ship headed for Panama, probably 5 days into our trip.  The captain radioed us and asked if all was well.  Might have talked with him longer if we had known we wouldn't see any more boats until Galapagos!
The equator!  The chart plotter shows 0D 0.0002' S -- the equator went by pretty fast but we were almost able to capture it in this photo!
A champagne toast and cracker offering to Neptune at the equator.  The wind was only a breeze for this occasion so we made ourselves comfortable on deck.
The lookout (Michael) spots land -- San Cristobal Island.
Larger whales passing by as we near the Galapagos Islands
Breakfast in the cockpit with Kicker Rock (San Cristobal) in the background--we'll be anchored by lunch time.
A day after we arrived the Picton Castle, from Nova Scotia, pulled into port at San Cristobal.  We saw them at Flamenco Harbor, Panama City, the day before we left, so they were on a similar schedule.  We snorkeled with a few of her crew.  Several of them (men and women) had shaved their heads at the equator crossing (did some tarring and feathering too, we heard).  Their next stop is Pitcairn Islands.
The Larabeck has a new captain (univited).  Tried rigging up fenders and line to prevent sea lions from coming aboard, but some were determined!
La Casa del Lago, Santa Cruz (B&B type of lodging)
One of many medium sized reptiles who posed for us on Santa Cruz
Two larger sized reptiles on Santa Cruz -- these were marching in step (very slowly)!
A tortoise close up - kinda cute
This lizard has perfected its pose
Some pair!  Sharon and a Giant Tortoise
Colorful crabs on Santa Cruz
Back at Isla San Cristobal: Sharon snorkels, Michael snorkels and photographs
Galapagos sharks below the snorkelers
Kicker Rock coral and colorful sealife
